About Us

Our Story
metaHealth began the way many good ideas do—over a cup of flat white coffee in Sydney, during its founders’ postgraduate studies, sparked by conversations about the future of healthcare in the Philippines. Even then, they anticipated the growing demand for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) as critical tools for smarter health system decisions.
When the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law was enacted in 2019—mandating HTA for all health technologies—they knew it was time to act. metaHealth was created to meet that moment: a purpose-driven engine for HTA and HEOR, built to deliver global standards while rooted in the local context.

In 2024, metaHealth joined the Xcelsior Health group, scaling up its operational backbone through shared services—allowing the team to focus on what matters most: delivering actionable insights that build confidence in decision-making, shape policy, and improve lives.
metaHealth is part of a growing ecosystem under Xcelsior Health, working alongside its sister organizations: DISH (Data and Implementation Sciences for Health), a consulting firm delivering public health research and strategy across Asia, and Kalinga Health, an innovation platform focused on scalable solutions for primary care delivery.
From a bold idea in a café to a trusted partner in national reform—metaHealth continues to bridge science and strategy for a healthier, more equitable future.

Our Vision
By 2030, metaHealth is the premier THINK+DO tank for Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)—powering confident, evidence-informed decisions that shape equitable, high-quality, and accessible healthcare in the Philippines and across the region.

Our Mission
metaHealth builds confidence in decision-making by delivering actionable insights grounded in robust data, scientific evidence, and contextual expertise—enabling stakeholders to make smarter choices for better health outcomes.

LOGO
The metaHealth logo is more than a symbol—it’s a visual reflection of who we are and how we work.
The three interconnected arcs form a stylized, flowing “M”—representing metaHealth as a dynamic force in health systems innovation. This “M” embodies momentum, mastery, and mission—our commitment to lead with purpose in the evolving health policy and access landscape.
The four nodes anchoring the arcs represent the four founders of metaHealth—each one a pillar in our collective expertise. But they also symbolize something deeper: data points. Because every decision we support is rooted in data—clean, connected, and clinically relevant. These nodes are where people, policy, and precision meet.
The arcs’ fluid, continuous movement signifies our agility—a reminder that healthcare is always shifting, and metaHealth is built to evolve with it. We are never static, always responsive—integrating science, systems thinking, and strategic insight.

Tagline: Confidence in Decision Making
Not just a tagline—it’s our promise. At metaHealth, we empower stakeholders across sectors to act decisively, strategically, and with purpose—because in health, the right decision is everything.
